Witham Water LLP is very pleased to report that the resampling carried out on 31st July has shown that the water is now wholesome. We are letting residents know that they do not need to boil their water anymore. Mendip Council have formally revoked their notice to boiler water before drinking. Witham Water LLP received Notice by Mendip District Council on 18th July 2019 that it advises consumers of the Witham Friary private water supply to boil water or not to drink the water intended for human consumption or to be used as part of a food undertaking. This Notice will remain valid until the Council is satisfied that the Supply is no longer a potential danger to human health and has revoked this Notice. Witham Water LLP will keep consumers updated via updating this page and email correspondence where possible.
